  1. Where do you live? Northampton, MA

  2. How old are you? 30

  3. What is your occupation? High school Latin teacher

  4. What is your favorite color and why? Pink! I *loathed* it growing up, though it was girly and awful and all those things I didn't want to be forced to be, but after I accepted that I was a lesbian, I decided I could like girly things all I want. *g*

  5. Do you have pets? One dog. She's an American Eskimo Dog (Eskie).

  6. What is your favorite classic book? Forster's Maurice. I also really love Silas Marner and Persuasion. My favorite 'book' to teach is the Iliad. My favorite "children's" books are the Anne series.

  7. What is your favorite modern book? Contemporary, or modern? Contemporary, hmm, might have to go with Jeanette Winterson, Art and Lies. Modern, probably Gatsby; maybe Portrait of the Artist or Orlando.

  8. Who is your favorite writer? At the moment, Hardy.

  9. Where are you right now? In my living room.

  10. What are your hobbies? Besides reading: fandom (I've been a slash fan for many years), singing, cooking. Someday when we have a larger place I'd like to do more scrapbooking, but it seems to be one of those hobbies that needs more space than I have.

  11. What are your favorites? My favorite movies are Claire of the Moon, Stealing Beauty, and Velvet Goldmine. My favorite tv shows are Highlander, The Professionals, and The L-Word. I love the Home and Garden channel, too, and PBS. :)

  12. Would you like to be friended, added to the circle, granted access, whatever Dreamwidth is calling it? Yes, very much so! I do talk about books from time to time, as well as fandom, and teaching. :)
